I think I may be having the same problem. Just installed the game for my sons to play, but on both Single and Multi Player, everything is very sluggish. Movements are very slow and jerky, movements kinda just skip around. But the graphics look great, just as I'd expect. I've never had any problems with COD 1 or UO and have always kept it set at Optimal Settings. Here's a scan using the System Requirements Lab test (www.srtest.com) for COD 2 based on my computer. I do know that I should update the driver, but beside that, is my video card truly not compatible as this states? How come it worked so well for COD 1 and UO? I appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

Yeah, I kinda thought so. Just my luck. And my card works incredibly well with all settings maxed out in COD UO. I have found that COD 2 is playable enough by setting the ingame DirectX to 7 and lower some of the graphics effects. Still a little odd feeling, kinda like watching a video using a camcorder with high-speed for when taping sports events, if that makes sense. Only jumps or lags a little when the on-screen action gets rather intensive. Looks like I'm going to have to upgrade my video card regardless. I don't like being "behind in the times" with obsolete equipment. Too bad the card I have is less than a year old. Have you found that you've had to upgrade your card often for any of the other newer games recently? Is it really that we're now at that next generation of video game graphics?

You might want to try updating to the 7.8.0.1 nVidia Drivers.
When you get ready to upgrade the card check at NEWEGG.COM
They have some pretty good prices and fast shipping.
